This is a very interesting problem isn't it? The answer is the opposite to what you would expect. I think you have drawn the correct conclusion about which deal is better - I do think I can spot a small error in your addition though. Check how many coins you have in total after day 2.

ReplyDeleteAlan is right! Check your adding. 1+2=3. See if you still get the better deal when you fix up the adding :-)
